How do they do EEG's in toddlers?
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me their experiences with getting an EEG done for their toddler/young child? My daughter who is 14 months old has to have one for possible seizure activity, and I'm worried about it. I know its painless, but if she isn't sedated she isn't going to be happy about having things attached to her head, or laying down, or being restrained.. I wonder if they will sedate her? or if they will do the sleep deprived thing? She isn't good at napping somewhere she's not familiar with, regardless of how tired she is.. The appointment is going to be scheduled tomorrow, so I will know what kind she's getting then, I think, but I just wanted some experiences :) thanks in advance!
