Jehovah Witnesses what was it like growing up?

When I grew up in the truth, I just got use to not celebrating holidays. My parents told me back then that holidays did come from pagan backgrounds. Of course when I got older, I understood better why holidays are pagan. I wasn't ever deprived because I did get gifts from both parents. It made it seem more special too because I wasn't expecting the gifts.
